Build a virtual haunted house online
The Virtual Haunted House Creator & Simulator is a browser-based tool for building and walking a haunted attraction. Choose the rooms visitors walk through, put them in order, then pick the scare that waits in each one: a screaming portrait, a doll that moves when you look away, a figure in the bathroom mirror, a chase through the cellar and more. The ready-made house gives you a complete starting point.
How do I play the haunted house?
Choose Enter the House for a ready-made first-person walkthrough. Hold W or the up arrow (or the Walk button on a phone) to move along the path, A and D to step sideways, move the mouse or drag to look, and press E or tap the door button to open each door. F toggles your flashlight and Shift hurries you along. You can choose Guided Walk to follow the route automatically. Reaching the green-lit back door completes the haunt, and the scares change every time you walk through. Mild scares and reduced flashing are available in Settings.
How do I make and share a haunted house?
Choose Build your own, add rooms, and set the order. Pick a scare for each room or leave it on Random. Walk it to test the full experience, then copy its link. Friends can enter without an account.
Do I need an account?
No. Your haunts save in this browser, and a shared link carries the whole house, so anyone with the link can walk it.
Can I reduce the scares?
Visitors control mild scares, flashing, sound levels and guided movement. These preferences take priority over the house design. Sound begins only after you enter the haunt.
What devices can I use?
Use a modern browser with WebGL. Desktop supports W or arrow keys to walk, the mouse to look, F for the flashlight and E to open doors; phones offer a hold-to-walk button, drag to look and a guided walk. The house lowers its render resolution on slower devices to keep moving smoothly.
