Drive Mode: W or Up accelerates, S or Down brakes and reverses, A and D steer, E switches to Equipment Mode when stopped, C changes the camera. Equipment Mode on the wheel-lift truck: R raises and F lowers the lift, W extends and S retracts the boom, X opens or folds the cradle arms, Space closes the cradles, T straps the next wheel. On the flatbed: F tilts and R levels the bed, S slides it back and W forward, Z pays out and Q reels in the winch, K attaches or releases the hook, T straps the next wheel. Escape pauses.

Warming up the hydraulics...

A hands-on tow truck simulator you can play online

Tow Truck Simulator puts you behind the wheel of a working tow truck in the small town of Millbrook. Towing is the game, not just the drive: you back up to a broken-down car, switch to Equipment Mode, and run the machinery yourself. Lower and extend the wheel lift until the cradles meet the tires, strap the wheels, raise the car and tow it with the rear wheels rolling behind you. Or tilt and slide a rollback flatbed to the ground, pay out the winch cable, hook a tow eye, winch the car aboard and strap all four wheels before you level the bed.

The physics are the same for everyone. The car has real weight and wheelbase, the towed vehicle swings through turns, a loaded flatbed brakes and corners differently, and a winch pulling at a bad angle or through mud has to work harder. Adjustable assists make this towing simulator game easy to learn without doing the work for you.

How to play

On a computer, drive with W A S D or the arrow keys and press E to switch to Equipment Mode when the truck is stopped. Equipment keys appear on screen: R and F lift or tilt, W and S extend or slide, Z and Q run the winch, and you click the glowing wheels and tow points to strap and hook. On phones and tablets, drag the steering pad, use the big gas and brake pedals, and hold the equipment buttons. The camera button cycles follow, orbit, close-up and overhead alignment views.

Two real tow trucks

The wheel-lift wrecker is quick and nimble, with a hydraulic boom, cradle arms and wheel straps. The rollback flatbed has a sliding, tilting bed, a winch with cable and hook, and four ratchet straps. Both trucks and all of their equipment are unlocked from the start.

Jobs, dispatch and free play

Ten handcrafted tow jobs teach each skill, from a simple parking lot pickup and a tight service alley to a luxury car transport, a muddy ditch rescue and a rainy roadside recovery. The dispatch board then sends unlimited random calls with compact cars, sedans, SUVs, pickup trucks and sports cars. Free Tow is a sandbox with no rules.

Yes. Tow Truck Simulator runs in your browser for free, with no download and no account.
