How to play

Flap Dash is a free Flappy Bird-style game from Random.Express. Guide an original little bird through teal columns in this one-button skill game, on your phone, tablet, or computer.

  1. Tap the sky or “Tap to Flap” to start and fly upward immediately.
  2. Tap, click, press Space or Up Arrow for each flap. Holding a control does not repeat.
  3. Stay inside each opening. Clearing a whole pair earns exactly one point.
  4. Touching a column or the ground ends your run. After a brief pause, choose Play Again or tap the sky.

Use the pause button or Escape for a break. Switching tabs or changing orientation pauses a run; choose Resume when ready. Sound starts after your first action and can be turned off.

The challenge grows with your score: the columns move faster, newly arriving openings get smaller, and their heights vary more. A replay starts with the gentler opening pace again.

An ode to Flappy Bird

Flap Dash is a free Flappy Bird-style game you can play online in your browser. It is our ode to that one-tap arcade rhythm: keep a little bird in the air, thread the next opening, and see whether one more try can beat your best.

This independently made tribute pairs an original coral bird with teal columns, a sunny lake, and illustrated scenery. It keeps the appeal of a simple flapping game while adding a challenge that builds as you score. Flap Dash is not the original Flappy Bird and is not affiliated with its creator.

A flapping game that gets harder

Each completely cleared pair of columns earns one point. As your score rises, the columns gradually scroll faster and newly spawned openings become narrower. Their heights can vary more too, so a steady tapping pattern eventually needs adjustment.

The difficulty builds through the first 40 points, then holds at its toughest pace. Openings already on screen keep their size, and your flap strength stays the same. The extra challenge comes from timing and accuracy. Every new run resets to the starting difficulty, even if you have a high personal best.

Flap Dash questions

Is this the original Flappy Bird?

No. Flap Dash is an original Flappy Bird-inspired browser game from Random.Express, with its own artwork and code. It is a tribute to the one-tap idea, not an official edition of the original game.

Does the game get harder as I score?

Yes. More points mean faster columns, narrower new openings, and more variation in opening height. The curve reaches its maximum at 40 points. Pausing does not raise the difficulty; starting another run resets it.

Can I play without signing in?

Yes. No login is needed to play or keep a local personal best. Use touch, mouse, Space, or Up Arrow to flap, and Escape to pause.

Does Flap Dash save my score?

Your personal best and sound preference stay in this browser when local storage is available. Clearing browser data clears them. Scores are not synced between devices, and a saved best does not make the next run start harder.
