How to play

Drag a block from the tray onto the board. Fill a whole row or column to clear it.

Blocks can't be rotated. Place all three to get a new set. The game ends when none of your blocks fits.

Clear several lines at once for big points. Keep clearing within three moves to build a combo that multiplies every clear. Empty the whole board for a 300 point All Clear.

Keyboard: press 1, 2 or 3 to pick a block, move it with the arrow keys, and press Enter to drop it.

Your current game will end. Your best score stays saved.

About BlockGrid

A block puzzle without interruptions

BlockGrid is a free, ad-free block puzzle. Place three offered shapes on an 8×8 board, clear full rows or columns, and build your best score. There is no timer, subscription or account requirement.

How does scoring work?

Each placed square is worth a point. Clearing lines scores more the more lines you clear at once, and a running combo multiplies every clear while it lasts.

Is my progress saved?

Yes. Your unfinished game, settings and best score stay in this browser. Clearing browser data removes them. After one online visit, you can also play offline.
